Railways of Calvados are a former railway network of local narrow gauge Decauville type (0.60 m). The network is open in stages from 1891 first by the limited company Establishments Decauville Aîné, then, from 1895 through the limited company of Railways of Calvados. Unable to cope with growing competition from road transport, the network lines are closed one after the other in 1929. The last line, operated from 1937 by Norman Couriers, is severely damaged in the Battle of Normandy and the operation terminates in 1944.
