Fort Hackenberg is a fortified structure of the Maginot Line, located in the municipality of Veckring in the Moselle department. This is a big artillery structure, counting nineteen blocks. Built between 1929 and 1935, he was spared by the fighting in June 1940, before being reused by the Germans and used during the fighting in November 1944. Repaired at the beginning of the Cold War, it is now a museum. This is the most important of all the forts of the Maginot line.
